"Even though there is no prohibition in mentioning the name of an idol casually, it is nevertheless unfitting that a person should make it his habit to mention such a name" from today's reading in The Divine Code page 252.
This requires some vigilance when referring to the central figure of the popular western religion. While the belief in a trinity, a concept that nobody including the pope can explain in any clear manner, is more partnership than idolatry, the worship of such a partner would still be idolatry. Fortunately for the adherents of the various world religions, there is a stupidity clause in the Torah prohibition of idolatry.
For those enlightened ones, Noahides, we are to follow the stricter rules given to the Jews regarding idolatry. We are to separate ourselves from the popular religion by not saying the name they use to worship. Many say jesu as that is a diminished form of his name. It might be politer to refer to him as the nazarene but that is extra syllables so I normally say jesu.

The Divine Code part 2 chapter 3
Which Actions Make One Liable for Idol Worship;
page 167 & 168;

#26; If a Gentile performs the service of an idol in its usual manner, even if it is in a degrading fashion (and his intent was only to degrade it, and not to worship it), he is liable for a capital sin. For example, one who.. throws a stone to Merculis to degrade them is liable, since those are the traditional ways of serving them, even though the rituals are degrading to the idols...

#27; One who served an idol out of love (for example, he desires this idol because its service is very pleasing), or who served it from fear that it may wrong him,.. is liable if he accepts it as a deity...
Likewise, if on serves an idol out of love or fear of a person, and does not accept the idol upon himself as a deity, he is also exempt.

dificulty; In both cases the person does not accept the idol as a deity. If the purpose of service is to degrade the idol, then the person is liable for the prohibition of idol worship. If the purpose of service is an expression of love, then the person is exempt from the prohibition. It would seem the rules should be the other way around. If the person is motivated by love would be stricter than if he is motivated to degrade.

Footnote 107 explains a person motivated by love intends personal benefit by from the service.
The critical distinction seems to be in #26 the focus is on the idol while in # 27 the focus is on the self. If the focus is on the idol, then the service is to thus while if the focus is on the self, then the service is not to the idol.

on a side note; the last 2 sentences in footnote 107 seem to contradict each other. also, it should be clarified if while # 27 is not a capital sin, if it would still be forbidden to do so.

I was raised in a religious home. At the age of 14 I became an atheist. Everything was fine till I took a philosophy class in college. What I could not figure out was if there was no ultimate reason for the universe, then why did I care about anything? But yet I did care. This question bothered me so much that I dropped out of college in order to devote more time to it. I decided that the source of my care about things did not come from the physical world and therefore came from outside of it, the "spiritual" world so to speak. My next 30 years have dedicated to developing an understanding of this discovery.

Parshah Terumah - Exodus 25-27:19

I saw a movie concerning a woman suffering from multiple personalities. Her identity had split into many distinct persons. Her therapy involved meeting the other personalities, making peace with it and bringing it into herself eventually making herself one.

Moses is instructed in the construction of the ark. The dimensions of this box are very specific. In this space will be placed the four tablets of the covenant. The broken tablets represent the love by with we are brought closer. The second set represent fear by with we are given direction. Each set contains different parts for our spiritual and material lives.

When all for parts are working in harmonious unity, the cherubs on the lid of the ark unite in one and the Divine presence is manifest.

Our lives are to contain all four parts. They are to work together as one.

A Noahide 's take on Parshah Mishpatim

Exodus 21:2-6 Should you buy a Hebrew slave, he shall work [for] six years, and in the seventh [year], he shall go out to freedom without charge. If he comes [in] alone, he shall go out alone; if he is a married man, his wife shall go out with him. If his master gives him a wife, and she bears him sons or daughters, the woman and her children shall belong to her master, and he shall go out alone. But if the slave says, "I love my master, my wife, and my children. I will not go free," his master shall bring him to the judges, and he shall bring him to the door or to the doorpost, and his master shall bore his ear with an awl, and he shall serve him forever.

My questions are basic enough. Who am I? Where did my soul come from? What is my mission in this world?

Against his will he was placed into the situation. Against his will he is offered a chance to leave. But he is given a choice. He choices to remain part of the lower world. To spend his days in love and service to his master and family.

This seems a good way.

quiet blog.

When I first got involved in the path of Noah I was writing a lot. About a year ago my study accelerated and I realized I needed to spend time listening to what others had to say. Where my mind is racing is hard to put in words. This blog and my youtube has been quiet for that reason.

Building the vessels of Noah

By following the divine plan, we build a tabernacle of ourself.

Day one is violet, Netzach/Victory. God is One, there is no other. It is prohibited to worship a created thing.

Day two is indigo, Malchut/kingdom. This world was created to be a dwelling place for Hashem. We are to order ourselves accordingly.

Day three is blue, Chessed/loving-kindness. The energy of love is to be first contained within marriage. Adultery releases this energy in a reckless manner and is prohibited

Day four is green, Yesod/foundation. The universe was created to operate as one unit. To live apart from Heaven is similar to cutting the leg off a living animal and eating it. It is prohibited to do such a thing.

Day five is yellow, tiferet/beauty. The world was created in perfect form and balance. Things were put where they are because that is where they are supposed to be. To perserve this beauty we are instructed not to steal.

Day six is orange, hod/acknowledgment. Our lips are to be filled with words of Torah, Prayer and Wisdom. Any speech that goes against these are prohibited.

Day seven is red, gevurah/might. Man is made in the image of God. This is the higher may exist in the lower world. Murder is an attempt to separate God from this world.
